Lisa Sinor

Lisa’s approach to litigation is practical and strategic because she has seen it from all angles—as a litigator in private practice, in public service as a government attorney for the City of San Antonio, and more importantly from “behind the bench” as a staff attorney of the 459th and 200th District Courts of Travis County. These combined experiences have aided Lisa in developing an acute awareness of what works and what does not work for the client and the court.

While in private practice, Lisa handled an array of litigation matters ranging from commercial litigation to family law. What Lisa truly enjoys and finds best serves her clients is her specialization in legal writing and research. She has written countless pleadings, including contested motions and responses, in which courts have ruled in her favor.

During Lisa’s time as a staff attorney, she assisted in various jury trials, which gave her invaluable experience in understanding the advocacy process from start to finish from the judge and jury’s perspective. She was the fly on the wall that all lawyers wish they could be, truly learning from watching what worked and what did not work.

Lisa also serves on the Board of Directors of a community bank, which gives her yet another invaluable perspective: that of a stakeholder. Lisa knows what the expectations are and how to meet them.

Prior to joining the working world, Lisa graduated magna cum laude from Baylor Law School, where she served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Baylor Law Review.
