

Vincent DeAngelo
Vincent DeAngelo has represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters including personal injury cases, medical malpractice cases, architectural and engineering malpractice matters, zoning issues, and cases involving financial analysis.
He also served as a general counsel to a large wholesale grocery cooperative and negotiated loans, loan guaranties and commercial leases. He enjoys working on complex matters. He has achieved a winning record in over 50 jury cases to conclusion representing both plaintiffs and defendants.
Prior to obtaining his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, Vince
obtained his B.A. degree from the University of Toronto, where his major concentration of studies was in Philosophy, with a minor concentration in Business and Accounting.
Prior to joining Terrazas PLLC, Vince had been a partner in Cooney, Scully and
Dowling, Trantolo & Trantolo, PC , and the founding principal in the Law Offices of Vincent DeAngelo, LLC.
Vince is admitted to practice in the state courts of both Texas and Connecticut, as well as the U.D. District Court for the District of Connecticut.

Successfully represented the victim of a severe gunshot wound, obtaining a
$7.25 million dollar verdict. -
Successfully represented a mechanical engineering firm in a delay claim
arising from the construction of a public school. -
Successfully represented an engineering firm defending against a delay claim
involving the construction of a large, enclosed shopping mall, settling all
claims for $100,000 at the conclusion of evidence following 8 months of trial
where the damages claimed exceeded $5,000,000. A verdict against the
remaining, non-settling defendants was entered for slightly over $4 million. -
Obtained a settlement of over $9 million dollars following a four-month trial
representing a baby with cerebral palsy in a medical malpractice case against
various physicians and a hospital. -
Obtained a defendant’s verdict in a claim involving complications from a
radical breast mastectomy. -
Obtained defendant’s verdict in malpractice claim involving significant
pressure sores following a stroke. -
Obtained a favorable verdict defending a dentist in a claim of improper crown
and bridge work. -
Obtained a verdict of $1.5 million against an emergency room physician
following the death of an obese patient who was improperly restrained after
settling with other defendants for confidential sums. -
Obtained a withdrawal of all claims following 3 weeks of trial representing a
civil engineer arising from claims of malpractice in interpreting subdivision
requirements that the plaintiff claimed resulted in the loss of a significant
number of approved building lots. -
Successfully defended a construction manager in an arbitration alleging cost
overruns and delays in the “build out” of an optometrist’s office in an existing
mall. -
Obtained a judgement in favor of the defendant for less than 20% of the pre-
trial offer following a bench trial. The case concerned the evaluation of
preferred stock in a closely held family corporation and the validity of a
claimed pension by a survivor of a former employee/stockholder. -
Obtained defendants’ verdicts in more than 90% of cases involving defense of
insured defendants in personal injury cases. In the very few cases in which
plaintiffs’ verdicts were rendered, all were for less than half of the last
settlement offer. -
Achieved settlements following commencement of trial in multiple medical
malpractice cases in amounts varying between $750,000 to $2,000,000. -
Obtained a plaintiff’s verdict in a medical malpractice claim against an
OB/GYN for an incomplete pregnancy termination resulting in long term
dysfunctional menstrual bleeding.
